Indonesia GenAI Hackathon 2023, a collaborative event between Alibaba Cloud, Telkomsigma, MDI Ventures, and Indigo, has officially started with great excitement. The event opened on August 14, 2023, simultaneously in four major cities - Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bandung, and Makassar - has entered its first day enthusiastically.

This event was attended by a total of 41 teams and 26 mentors who came from each city. This event was held at JeSiCa (Jogja Solutions Center), one of Telkom Group's Indigo Hubs. Starting with welcoming notes from Ms. Navyta Siregar, EVP Data Center & Cloud Telkomsigma, said this Hackathon is one of the best stages to produce creative and innovative young Indonesian talents. Also, present in a hybrid manner at the opening session were Ghendis Aniesti Khayira, Marketing Manager of Alibaba Cloud; Mochamad Galih, Senior Channel Business Development; and Ragil Widiharso, Manager of Indigo Integration & Community Engagement; and Gani Putra Lie, Head of Investment MDI Ventures.

On the first day of the Hackathon, it began with an ideation session to accommodate participants' inspiration which experienced mentors actively explored. On this occasion, the mentors also provided initial views to the participants on designing effective solutions by paying attention to technical and business aspects. This discussion sparked a collaborative spirit among the participants, creating a climate conducive to discovering new ideas.

For two days (14-15 August 2023), the participants will be involved in the hacking day process: implementing their ideas by predetermined sub-themes: Legal Document Management, Generative CRM, and Risk Management before entering the Pitching Day stage on the third day.

Of course, this event is exciting for all participants with the spirit of competition to get the best position. The hope that starts with an idea can be transformed into a technology-based solution to meet industry needs while building a Digital-Based Indonesia.
